The Beyond 40 Revolution: A Message of Reflection from Judith

For the past two years, I have been working on a project now called, The Beyond 40 Revolution. I started this project looking for 40 women to photograph who were in their 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and beyond. I ended up photographing 51 inspiring women. They will all be featured in a photo book accompanied with words of wisdom from their life that they were brave enough to share. The book will come out at our cocktail party celebration on October 25th.

The purpose of this project was to empower women who are in this age range because this demographic is not represented in the media. It is important for women's voices to be heard and not overlooked. It's time that we change the dynamic, and reshape the conversation around age and beauty. I wanted to show these women how amazing and beautiful they are, as well as, share their stories in an effort to lift up all women. I believe that by sharing our stories we can learn, celebrate, and honor each other, helping us to feel less alone in anything we are facing whether that be divorce, menopause, infertility, betrayal, trauma, disease, or negative body image.

The essence of this is to honor what makes you beautiful and unique, inspire you to own your power, embrace body positivity, cultivate strength, and courage; and to empower other women to realize their potential by stepping out of the shadows. I want you to learn to love the reflection looking back at you in the mirror, and to acknowledge that self-love isn't selfish; it is everything.

To those who participated, thank you. It was my greatest honor to photograph you and celebrate the incredible woman that you are.

To those that read the book, I hope that through these stories you find courage, acceptance, value and the ability to love yourself more and judge yourself less.
